Foster this dog on Facebook! Most of our Papillons are adopted as close as possible to their foster homes. Each foster parent gives their heart and love to the butterflies in their care and it is hard to part with them. If you are interested in a Papillon that is not in your home state, you may still send an application, however, every effort is first made to place the dogs within a reasonable distance. We request that the applicant is willing to come to the home to meet the dog and to be sure the match is a good one. While not all homes are suitable for the physically and emotionally fragile dogs that come into our rescue, we tend to have more people willing to rescue our Papillons than we have dogs available. We are grateful for the kindness of so many people. There may be a delay in finding the right dog for you, and each application is carefully scrutinized. It may take 2 weeks or more before you hear from someone in our volunteer organization. Our adoption guidelines are stated preceeding the application page. Please read them carefully. Any transportation expenses are the full responsibility of the adopter. Suggested adoption donation: For healthy dogs up to two years of age: $350-$450 For healthy dogs between the ages of two and six:$ 250-$350 For healthy dogs between the ages of six and nine: $150-$250 Geriatric or "special needs" dogs: donation is set on a case-by-case basis Not all our Papillons are listed on the webpage. Hey there, wanted to say thanks for stoppin by! Aren't I one really handsome feller? Ya know I am really starting to like this outdoor playing stuff and running. Foster Mommy says I have butterfly wings on my heals, cuz I guess I am fast. Maybe we think I might like doing those things like going over jumps and down slides. Now what did she call that??? mmm agilters, antlers, argiles, no I got it AGILITY!!! Anyway no matter how fun it is to run soon as Foster Mom calls me I race to her, guess it's cause she loves my kisses so much, and shucks I love getting pets and hugs. So if you want a tall dark handsome lover in your life give me a call. Love, Ernie (Baloney) Ernie is a gorgeous Black & White Pap Boy! He has spent most of his life in a Puppy Mill so is still very nervous around people. He is best friends with Bert and will cry if he doesn' know where Bert is. He will also hide behind Bert if he is scared or nervous. Since he is young, both of these issues will be easy to overcome in time. 8/5/08 This is the other half of what I affectionately call the Bernie boys. Bert, the first update and now heresssssssss Ernie. Ernie is just slightly larger than Bert, and 10 times a shy. I had to crawl in the crate with him to get him out but yesterday morning he pushed open the door to get out and give me some good lovin. He is still hesitant when you reach for him some, but today he actually stood on his hind legs wanting me to pet him. They were a little thin and in this heat aren't gaining really fast but are healthy and happy so that will come.
